-Various ethnic minorities (migrants) from Turkey, the former Yugoslavia, Italy, Greece
and other countries live in and around Duisburg and account for 15% of the city's
population.
-Hundreds of small and medium sized companies are run by migrant entrepreneurs
or have a large proportion of migrant employees.
-Many of these companies are either in danger of liquidation
or are not growing because they lack business management skills, German-language
proficiency and intercultural flexibility.
TARGET GROUP
Migrant entrepreneurs, migrant employees, in special cases unemployed
and apprentices/trainees
ACTIVITIES
-On-site consulting and requirements analysis -PR work, -Development
of practical educational programmes and materials, -Provision of an
educational service for companies on the subjects of "Quality and
Business Management", "Vocational Training", "German on the Job" and
"Intercultural Issues".
