A grant is launched to boost businesses in Barcelona

A new aid package has been launched to promote the installation of new economic activity in vacant ground-floor premises and market stalls in the city of Barcelona. This aid, called “Amunt persianes,” is part of the “Impulsem el que fas” program.

Beneficiaries

  • Natural persons (sole traders) and legal entities with a registered office, branch, or workplace in the municipality of Barcelona.
  • Must not have exceeded a net annual turnover of €1,000,000 in 2022 and 2023. In the event of exceeding this amount, the workforce must not exceed 20 full-time employees.

Requirements

  • Location in Barcelona
  • Must be up to date with tax obligations and other requirements.
  • The grant amount must not, under any circumstances, exceed the cost of the activity or project submitted.
  • Carry out the activities in the municipality of Barcelona.
  • Each activity must have a maximum term of 12 months (January 1, 2024 – December 31, 2025). At least one of the activities must have started during 2024.

Amount and deadlines

The grant covers a maximum of 80% per application. Therefore, it requires a minimum of 20% co-financing from the beneficiaries. The deadline for submitting applications is October 15 or until the budget is exhausted.
