Fem Coop 2023, a grant for new cooperatives

The Youth Department of Lleida City Council and Ponent Coopera are launching, for the third consecutive year, Fem Coop, a support program that includes practical training and financial aid of up to €15,000 for the creation of cooperatives driven by young people. This grant aims to promote collective entrepreneurship and self-employment among young people, through the creation of cooperatives that foster social justice, responsible consumption, or environmental improvements.

Participation requirements

  • That the project is driven by at least two members aged 18 or over.
  • That the majority of the cooperative’s founding members are between 18 and 35 years old.
  • That the individuals forming the cooperative reside in the city of Lleida and/or that the cooperative’s activity has its registered office in the city of Lleida
  • That the business project is presented in the legal form of a cooperative, based on the principles of the social and solidarity economy.
  • Not to be in any of the circumstances that prevent acquiring the status of beneficiary as provided for in Article 13.2 of Law 38/2003, of November 17, General Grant Law.
