Grant for self-employed individuals to hire an employee

The application period is now open for the “TU + 1” grant, a subsidy for self-employed individuals to hire a salaried worker. This grant aims to promote the permanent hiring of an unemployed person to support business growth.

Requirements

  • The employment contract must be permanent and for a working day equal to or greater than 50%.
  • The minimum retention period is 18 months
  • In the case of self-employed individuals, they must have been registered for a minimum period of one uninterrupted year prior to the date of application.
  • In the case of companies, they must be registered in the Commercial Registry at the time of applying for the grant and for a minimum period of one uninterrupted year prior to the date of application.
  • You cannot have employees under your charge at the time of submitting the application or during the previous six months
  • All hired individuals must complete one of the subsidized training courses offered within the training catalog of the Consortium for Continuing Education of Catalonia.

Amount and deadlines

This grant allows for the hiring of up to 3 unemployed people. For each contract, €20,850 will be awarded. Applications can be submitted from July 5 until September 12, 2024.
