New grant to help cooperatives grow

The Department of Business and Labour of the Generalitat de Catalunya is opening a call for grants aimed at promoting the Social and Solidarity Economy. The incorporation of working members or labor members in cooperatives and labor companies will be subsidized.

Grant amount

The maximum amount of these grants is graduated according to the following groups:
  • A maximum amount of 7,000 euros for the incorporation of people with disabilities
  • A maximum amount of 5,500 euros for the incorporation of women
  • A maximum amount of 4,000 euros for the incorporation of people under 30 or aged 45 and over
  • A maximum amount of 2,000 euros for individuals not included in the previous groups
In all cases, grants may also be awarded when the working member or labor member is incorporated on a part-time basis, although in this case the grant amount will be proportional

Deadlines

  • If the Social Security registration of the members is before May 17, the deadline to apply is until June 19.
  • If the Social Security registration of the members takes place from May 17 onwards, the deadline to apply is up to one month after the day following the registration date, until June 30.
