The support programme for entrepreneurs at risk of social exclusion, implemented in 2024 with the support of the Ministry of Labour and Social Economy, has helped consolidate 86 self-employment initiatives.
This year, the programme supported 120 entrepreneurs at risk of social exclusion who had recently launched 89 self-employment initiatives. They received guidance from 68 volunteers with experience in business management, across 26 provinces in 14 autonomous communities.
The support was provided over a six-month period, with the possibility of extension, through in-person or online sessions. During these sessions, volunteers helped entrepreneurs identify their challenges, reflect on how to address them, make decisions, implement them and evaluate the results. This approach encouraged the development of entrepreneurial skills, promoted independence and supported the consolidation of their businesses.
Both participants and volunteers rated the programme very positively, with satisfaction scores of 8.0 and 7.5 out of 10, respectively.
The support programme for entrepreneurs at risk of social exclusion received funding from the Ministry of Labour and Social Economy through a grant scheme for activities promoting self-employment, launched by the Directorate-General for Self-Employment.
