Last Thursday, May 5, Barcelona Activa, in collaboration with Autoocupació, held the event “Get Motivated by Entrepreneurship: Working on Entrepreneurial Skills After 40”, within the framework of the Mature Ideas program. The event was held in person at the Cibernàrium from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM and brought together around 40 entrepreneurs over the age of 40.

Montse Basora, Director of Entrepreneurship at Barcelona Activa, was in charge of the opening along with Guillem Aris, Director of Autoocupació, who also hosted the event.

The objective of the initiative was to provide visibility and help consolidate businesses, highlighting the experience and contacts of those who become entrepreneurs after 40, and introducing networking techniques and resources of interest for generating new projects.

Coach Ana Guiu from IntiTraining was responsible for opening the event with her inspirational talk on motivation and entrepreneurial energy. Attendees discovered how to manage emotions and our attitude toward new projects, and learned about new tools to bring more energy to everything we do.

Next, attendees participated in a networking activity to create connections and bonds with one another, followed by Guillem Arís presenting the practical workshop on entrepreneurial skills to learn about the optimal attitudes and skills when starting a business.

Finally, the event concluded with the presentation of three successful business experiences from people over 40: Montse Puyoles, from WekowBarcelona and Managers Lab; Joan Bofill, from Mozzakimozza; and Sofía Martín from Sofía Martín Some Fotografia.
