Autoocupació is hosting a new edition of Startup Huddle in Girona

20 May 2026

On May 6, a new edition of Startup Huddle Girona took place at Coworking B&Co, bringing together people eager to connect, share experiences, and continue driving thelocal entrepreneurial ecosystem forward.

The session, hosted by Guillem Arís, featured highly active participation and once again highlighted the value of the Startup Huddle format: an open conversation space where projects share real challenges and receive feedback, ideas, and experiences from the community.

During the event, two projects in the idea, growth, and consolidation stages were presented. They shared their current challenges and sparked enriching discussions with participants.

On one hand, Emma Barbesà, founder of EMCARE, presented her project. It is a human resources consultancy specialized in addressing a reality that is often invisible yet very present within companies: grief and talent loss. The project supports companies in processes related to identifying, attracting, onboarding, and retaining human capital, offering services such as professional selection and assessment, training, executive development, and conflict management. Her intervention sparked a highly enriching conversation around the challenges of scaling a project nationwide from day one, addressing strategies to build a strong positioning and maintain a meaningful impact within the business ecosystem.

On the other hand, Pol Caula, founder of Gerunda Vintage, shared the journey of his vintage clothing brand, a project with a well-defined identity and a distinctive value proposition within the sector. Born from a passion forsustainable fashion, the initiative is committed to giving carefully selected second-hand garments a second life, promoting more responsible and accessible consumption. His experience led to a discussion about the challenges of growing sustainably, exploring how to optimize operations and strengthen financial control without losing the essence and identity of the brand in a context of high demand.

The event once again demonstrated the strength of Girona’s entrepreneurial community and the importance of creating trusted spaces where people can share learnings, challenges, and visions for the future.

At Autoocupació, we would like to thank all attendees for their participation and involvement. Every contribution matters and helps build a more collaborative and inspiring entrepreneurial network.

We keep connecting, learning, and growing.
